New Caledonia won Gold in the mens Para-Javelin Event this afternoon.

ThierWashetine scoredthe Gold with a 43.54 meter throw. Fiji athlete,IosefoRakesa, won the silver medal with a 27.43 meters throw, and Wallis and Futuna’sManakoFalAveuki won bronze with 39.87 meters draw.

So each para athlete’s results have been recorded and compared to the world record of para-athlete javelin rates and are as follows; 76.60, 70.51 and 69.20.

This is the first time Para-athlete javelin event has been included in the Mini Games. So the result are the first ever resultbeing recorded to the mini-games paraathlete javelin worldwide results.

In the same discipline Samoa has secured gold in the Men’s Javelin competition this afternoon.

Making a throw of 63.73 metres, Samoa’s Donny Tuimaseve impressed crowds with his long distance throw.

Fiji’s Pita Tamani secured the silver medal with a throw of 62.15m.  Jack Nasawa from Vanuatu got the bronze medal with a throw distance of 60.98m.

The women’s javlin competitions will commence tomorrow, Tuesday 12 December,2017.
